Your Responsibilities:

  • The primary focus of this position is to provide operational support of VMware Cloud Provider partners during the purchasing and billing process for VMware SaaS offerings
  • Key point person supporting partner, internal order management and finance teams with order processing questions
  • Liaising with VMware internal teams to ensure contract and order have occurred
  • Serve as local system admin and subject matter expect to the VCPP business applications
  • Report bugs and system issues to vendor
  • Deliver ad-hoc analyses and validate results as business requires
  • Support local field rep and aggregator managers by conducting operation support
  • Interact with sales teams, channel partners and numerous internal groups as required
  • Manage outstanding items list, and drive solutions to partner reported issues. Must be comfortable leading calls and driving agenda items
  • Provide support to partner on new features in business systems. Experience with business applications and enhancement and bug fix roll-outs is a plus
  • Support rapid launch of new offerings in the Cloud Provider Program
  • Provide solution to customer inquiry thru Salesforce
  • Tracking and communicating metrics related to these activities
  • Follow compliance guidelines and internal policies and procedures
  • Support and manage quarter end activities related to booking orders and serve as local VCPP Ops contact for escalations and resolution
  • Provide suggestions and ideas that enhance processes and simplicity of operations


Requirements:
  • 7+ years' experience in Software or Cloud operations
  • High attention to detail, organization, team-orientation and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent quantitative and problem-solving skills.
  • Expert knowledge of Cloud Service Provider Programs
  • Experience in two tier cloud partner sales model, with firm knowledge of software license transactions and Software as a service
  • Experience with enterprise systems and proven knowledge of enterprise integration
  • Knowledge in End User Computing a plus
  • Experience using Salesforce
  • Team player with strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to think critically about solutions, and debate the merits of different approaches with team members
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and works with limited direction
  • Ability to collaborate across the organization
  • BS/BA or related industry experience
  • Must be able to work during Pacific Time zone hours
