The Elevator Pitch: Why will you enjoy this new opportunity?
The Tanzu App Toolkit team is growing with a laser focus on building an offering that gives applications developers and teams a customizable experience for deploying applications and functions on Kubernetes. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping application developers be more productive and has experience shipping commercial offerings for customers. The team is fully distributed, so we are looking for someone that is comfortable or has experience working fully remote.
What is the primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?
We are looking for someone who will help the team create a commercial offering and experience on top of open source projects (Knative, Tekton, and more). This individual will be helping the team lay the foundation for the commercial offering and will be expected to help establish good software practices and design for the team. Additionally, you will be needed to work closely with other Tanzu teams to ensure that the Tanzu App Toolkit works well with other Tanzu teams. Prior experience or knowledge about Tanzu Mission Control is a bonus!
As an Engineer on this team, you will:
- Help drive and deliver on the overall end-to-end experience and integration of all the necessary Tanzu products and components
- Contribute and lay the foundation for the control plane architecture, working closely with other Tanzu teams to ensure application teams have a seamless experience. Knowledge of Cluster API would be a bonus.
- Establish a path forward for commercialization and packaging, ensuring the team has the appropriate automation, integration/performance tests etc. in place
