Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
- Within 30 days of employment, you will gain an understanding of the GTM strategy and Key policies and processes within the Planning and Incentive Team, focusing on WW Plan Rollout Execution Process and the different system and tools currently used to support this process. You will also get to know the key stakeholders involved in this process and extended working teams and functional areas such as Sales Operations, Finance, VMware IT, EDA etc.
- Within 90 days of in the role, you will be responsible for driving and sharing several reports and become a Subject Matter Expert on the different processes, analytical activities and Tools across Plan Rollout Execution.
- Within 180-360 days along with the above, you will be discovering new ways to drive improvements and proactively leading our teams to create efficiencies and pivot towards new challenges.
The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
You can expect a variety of assignments that will change based on current strategic priorities:
- Provide assistance with key initiatives within the Worldwide Sales Planning and Execution Team.
- Provide Support and Lead Optimization on Plan Rollout Execution and Compensation Processes
- Partnership with Sales Operations, Finance and Commission Finance Teams ensuring effective collaboration, communication and development of solutions
- Identify Gaps and opportunities for Standardization and Improvement
- Lead assigned workstreams for design and operations of specific reports, systems, and tools.
- Deliver reporting solutions and process improvements that leverage off existing system architecture such as Tableau, Anaplan and Excel solutions which will deliver measurable performance benefits for the business teams.
- Collaborate on the development and improvement of the Planning and Compensation Tools and Systems.
- Adhere to appropriate best practice during the report/systems development and improvement design, build and implementation including testing and sign off
- Provide ongoing support to deployed or existing reporting, system, and tools solutions.
- Subject Matter Expert on Planning and Compensation Processes, Systems and Tools, assisting in the successful resolution of queries and issues that might arise, in an effective and timely manner.
- Ensure Time Management and Execution Excellence
- Proactively investigate, report and - where possible - address data quality issues.
You will demonstrate a wide range of skills in this role:
- Degree in Business Administration or Finance or equivalent related work experience
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
- knowledge write Macros using VBA is an advantage
- Advance knowledge of Power Point required
- Solid Business understanding with an ability to translate business needs into a set of workable, specific requirements
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong problem solving and process management skills
- A strong ability to drive, collaborate and manage a wide range of project initiatives or tasks
- Exceptional planning and organizational skills
- Exceptional Time Management
- Experience in reporting, system, and tools
- Experience with Anaplan is an advantage
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Enthusiastic with a passion for change and efficiency
- Excellent English, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate and interact with upper management.
- Project Management skills are an advantage
- Experience in financial, planning and compensation data is an advantage
What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?
The successful candidate will report to the Worldwide Planning and Execution Director, within the Worldwide Sales Planning and Incentives Team spread across Sofia and Bangalore, focusing on driving Global Standardization, Consolidation, and Simplification of Policies, Processes, Tools and Systems, supporting the GTM strategy, Worldwide Field Sales Compensation Program, Compensation Plan Rollout Process and Execution Excellence. Also providing reporting and analysis, support and development of Systems and Tools, in addition to serving as a SME for Planning and Commissions Processes and Systems.
Planning and Execution organization is part of a global organization so the importance of standardization, automation and simplification of the user experience is critical to everything that we do and must be front and center in the interactions with our business partners.
Where is this role located?
Sofia, Bulgaria
The role is considered flexible and will be a mix of working from a local VMware office and remote depending on your preferences and the arrangements determined with your future manager. You will be expected to live within a reasonable non-daily commute of the office.
