VMWare's EUC Enterprise Desktop team is looking for a strong software engineer to develop and maintain products focused on real time application delivery and user environment management. You'll also be part of a seasoned and bright engineering team with a culture of open communication, empowerment, innovation, teamwork and customer success. We are looking for engineers who have a strong self-directed work ethic and a nimble mindset. The successful candidate will be an innovative and seasoned leader with a 8+ year proven track record in developing complex and innovating technology.

Responsibilities:
• Developing in both Windows user-mode and kernel-mode (C and C++)
• Knowledge of virtualization, file systems, and storage is helpful
• Support high value external customers
• Provide accurate engineering estimates
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work well in a team
• Participate in specification, design, implementation, evangelism and support of the product, as well as improve existing features and product performance.
• Work on a small team of engineers on a daily basis, using Agile engineering practices and continuous integration
• Work with technical writers and support

Required Skills:
• Bachelor or Master of Engineering degree, or equivalent with 6+ years of experience in system software design and/or development on Windows
• A solid understanding of Windows internals and experience with kernel development is highly desired.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating system architecture, memory management mechanism, synchronization and file systems.
• Strong familiarity with IT pro and User Environment Management concepts
• Working knowledge of virtualization technologies including hypervisors, and virtual machines.

Highly desirable skills and experience
• 6 - 8 years development experience in C, C++
• 6+ years of experience in Windows system software development is highly desirable
• Familiarity with Windows user profile internals
• Proficient in C and/or C++
• Team player, with the willingness to work with distributed teams (VMware has teams all over the globe)
• Outstanding attitude and energy.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
