Business Summary

As VMware's Product Portfolio evolves and broadens, VMware has developed a transformative specialist sales strategy that requires dedicated operational support to maximize our field's productivity in selling solutions. This is an analyst role, within Global Sales Operations, and you would be expected to be able to work strategically and effectively to build & manage various processes and systems and provide focused business analysis of all key critical success factors and Key Performance Indicators for SDDC Leadership.

Ideal candidates are system-savvy, analytical, process oriented, energetic, and enjoy working in a high growth, data and operationally driven environment. He or she should have a strong system knowledge, good verbal and written communication skills and top-notch Excel and data manipulation skills as well as strong attention to detail.

Job Role and Responsibilities

This is an analyst role, within Global Sales Operations, and you would be expected to be able to work strategically and effectively to build & manage various processes and systems and provide focused business analysis of all key critical success factors and Key Performance Indicators for SDDC Leadership.

He or she should have a strong system knowledge, good verbal and written communication skills and top-notch Excel and data manipulation skills as well as strong attention to detail.

  • Creating Excel, CRM reports or dashboard for WW VeloCloud Sales VP or Senior Sales directors.
  • Provide various forms of business performance analysis and reporting to the key stakeholders in VeloCloud Sales Leadership. For example, core sales participation, specialist sales' pipeline creation, as a whole vs. through a specific sales campaign.
  • Work with the various systems and cross-functional Operations teams to develop the appropriate reporting or dashboard solutions.
  • Driving, facilitating and analyzing WW Forecast, Pipeline Management, and other Team cadences.
  • Become an expert for Salesforce.com report, Dashboard and Wave Analytics.
  • Support Semi Annual Quota-setting and compensation for AMER VeloCloud Specialist Product Teams; composition of Commission plans and payouts on achievement. Address Field questions relating to Quotas and Commission.
  • Provide Business Operational support and co-ordination for Specialist Product programs, promotions, pricing and Go-To-Market initiatives as requested by VeloCloud leadership; this will include product allocations from HPP/EPP programs and PSO Credit allocations.
  • Take responsibility for clear, concise onboarding material for New Hires, working in partnership with Sales Leadership, HR and Global Field Readiness organizations.
  • Provide training and on-boarding support to new hires.
  • Support VeloCloud key business integration projects for quote to cash, hardware, GTM.
  • Support sales operations colleagues as needed.


Required Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Superior analytical skills
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Knowledge using CRM applications; Salesforce.com, Oracle or SAP
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with attention to detail


Preferred Skills
  • MBA degree or equivalent
  • Degree in computer science
  • Strong background with salesforce
  • 2-5 year experience in Sales Operations, Business Operations, Business Intelligence or Sales Finance
