TKG builds on trusted open source and community projects and delivers an engineered and supported Kubernetes platform for end users and partners. You'll get opportunities to work with engineering teams across our products to solve challenging problems in the building, testing, and release of our products, focusing on tooling and infrastructure to accelerate our rate of development and release.

What is the primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?

You will be a part of the Tanzu Kubernetes Grid team, with a focus on below.

• Automating release / infrastructure provisioning, DevOps, and continuous integration/delivery.

• Using containerisation and container orchestration technologies in building TKG

• Thriving in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

• Developing production level good quality code to build the tooling infrastructure.

• Thriving in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

• Creating and delivering TKG releases for multi cloud providers

Success in the Role: What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months, you will work toward completing?

As a MTS/SMTS, you will be expected to:

• Collaborate and deliver both TKG Core and TKG releases together with other release engineers and developers successfully

• Analyse and Develop tool chains towards 100% automation of build process and integration testing.

What type of work will you be doing? What assignments or requirements will you be performing on a regular basis?

• Understanding the components integrations of our product with focus to manage the build & release process for TKG.

• Brainstorm, analyse and develop tools and systems for automating Devops processes and integration testing.

• Triage and debug build issues and work with developers to ensure timely resolution.

• Implement best practices for building, testing, and releasing software.

• Identify cutting edge new technologies that can enhance efficiency and reliability and incorporating them into the CI & build release workflows

• Work in a distributed team across multiple geographical locations.

What is leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?

The hiring manager for this role is Priya Jayachandran, Senior Engineering Manager. The mission of her team is to build and grow the TKG Release engineering and Platform infrastructure team India. She has spent more than 14 years with Sun Microsystems and Oracle in various engineering roles prior to taking on this role. Priya will work with you to set the direction, provide guidance, and remove impediments. She will expect you to be autonomous, collaborative and passionate to achieve the team's mission.
