Job Description

The Manager, Inside Sales for Nascent will be responsible to lead and execute the success of the Inside Sales organization, in SEAK. The incumbent will have overall responsibility for accelerating the build out of our transactional business around all VMware solutions and ensure that the VMware Inside Sales team he leads meets sales objectives. This role will lead a team of Inside Sales Reps.

The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of success in accelerating sales results with an Inside Sales organization. The ideal candidate is also a proven leader who is creative, innovative, highly energetic and inspired to build, coach and develop a world class General Business selling engine.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Achieve weekly, monthly and quarterly bookings targets
• Achieve weekly, monthly and quarterly pipeline funnel building targets
• Build and maintain a culture that inspires a sense of urgency, constant innovation & learning, and a strong sense of individual and team accountability
• Hire, organize and direct a team of direct quota carrying Inside Salespeople
• Work closely with the Commercial/Inside Sales SEAK and Senior Management and APJ Inside Sales and Enablement team to recruit and develop our inside sales talent
• Drive Innovation & team productivity initiatives & best practices
• Build and operationalize a plan to meet current quarter commitments while aggressively building out-quarter pipeline
• Achieve sales goals by building and optimizing programs designed for sales execution
• Collaborate with Channel and Marketing functions on key initiatives including demand generation programs via campaigns and call blitzes, and customer acquisition strategies throughout the year
• Work cross-functionally to achieve operational excellence for maximum sales productivity
• Recruit and retain a world class Inside Sales Organization
• Lead and influence ISR development and execution to support overall Corporate goals
• Must develop and maintain strong working relationships at the executive level with key VMware partners, industry executives, and industry publication

Requirements:
• 7+ years of management experience with direct reports in a fast paced, highly competitive, ever-changing sales environment
• Proven track record for meeting sales quota in a broad, diverse and complex geography or vertical market
• Experience in Nascent markets - Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos
• Ability to establish and cultivate strong internal and customer focused relationships and work seamlessly within a matrix managed environment
• Ability to work closely with Regional General Business Sales Managers and Senior Partner Executives
• Proven thought leadership and strategy capabilities
• Proven Sales leadership capabilities
• Detailed knowledge of specified systems, metrics, and customer segmentation that supports growth in an inside sales model
• Outstanding ability to forecast, set goals & objectives and monitor sales activity
• General Leadership

• Motivational coach and trainer, with the ability to build positive and productive working relationships and foster creativity, innovation and integrity within a team
• Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding assigned deliverables and timelines
