Why You Matter

The DevOps Infrastructure tooling team plays a pivotal role in the Engineering team. We're looking for a Software Engineer who will help build stable and cutting-edge tooling for build, test, secure and deploy activities. You will be involved with design, implementation and maintenance of devOps tooling. What You'll Do

  • Leverage virtual data center and public cloud knowledge to provide Infra as code solutions for dev/test labs
  • Maintain dev/test labs and infra tooling, including set up, upgrade, troubleshooting and fixing issues
  • Work closely with dev/test teams to understand their infrastructure tooling needs and prioritize in our backlog
  • Monitor the performance of the virtual labs with required monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Work with a geographically distributed team to drive customer use cases and outcomes
  • Support the extended engineering team in troubleshooting pipeline failures caused due to infra issues
  • Collaborate across devOps and product engineering teams to ensure a robust pipeline
  • Create reusable templates for quick and efficient deployments

What You'll Bring

  • 5 to 7 years of Release or Software Engineering experience
  • Strong understanding of OS fundamentals (Mac/ Linux/ Windows)
  • Strong cloud computing and software defined data center experience (virtualization, management of compute, storage, and networking using vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and other virtualization technologies)
  • Experience scripting via Terraform to deploy Infrastructure as Code
  • Experience with Helm charts a plus
  • Experience with, GitLab, GitLab CI Runners, Jenkins, Jenkins Pipelines and Artifactory a plus
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and services such as S3, VPC, CloudFront, CloudWatch
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and great attention to detail
  • Security Experience a plus
