Staff Engineer – NSX Multicloud - Azure API Developer

VMware NSX is a network virtualization platform that delivers the operational model of a virtual machine for the network. Virtual networks reproduce the network model in software, allowing complex multi-tier network topologies to be created and provisioned programmatically in seconds. NSX includes a library of logical networking services – logical switches, logical routers, logical firewalls, logical load balancers, logical VPN, QoS, and distributed security.

A self-service interface allows users to create custom combinations of these services in isolated software-based virtual networks that support existing applications without modification or deliver unique requirements for new application workloads. Similar to virtual machines in compute, virtual networks are programmatically provisioned and managed independent of networking hardware. Decoupling from hardware introduces agility, speed and operational efficiency that have transformed data center economics.

As a next phase of product evolution, NSX Group is forming a new team to build and deliver a NSX Product that provides our customers seamless experience of deploying and using NSX in Multi Cloud environments.

This team is looking for an engineer with excellent analytical and programming skills to join and be part of developing the NSX suite of Multi Cloud products

Responsibilities:

As a hands-on developer, be capable of fully understanding the Cloud Networking and implementing and guiding the changes required to develop highly scalable data plane features.

Responsibilities:

  • Hands on experience in development or integration in some if not all of the following areas:
  • Public Azure cloud. This includes bringing up new workloads / moving on-prem workloads to public cloud, etc.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Azure API development
  • Azure technologies for on-prem datacenter (Azure pack and SCMM)
  • Azure stack
  • Experience with network analytics and monitoring in Azure

Required Skills:

Java, Distributed Systems and Azure API development experience.
