Visa is seeking an AI Expert to lead the design, development, and deployment of AI agents that automate and optimize business processes across product operations, implementation, and product delivery. This role will drive enterprise-wide automation initiatives, leveraging advanced AI and agentic technologies to deliver measurable impact for all functional areas.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams - including Product, Engineering, Operations, and Client Services - to identify automation opportunities, architect AI driven solutions, and ensure successful integration and adoption. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in AI agent creation with strategic vision and strong business acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

 AI Agent Development:

  • Design, build, and deploy autonomous and semi-autonomous AI agents to automate multi-step business processes across product operations, implementation, and delivery.
  • Integrate predictive, generative, and prescriptive AI models into enterprise workflows for decision support and operational efficiency.
  • Prototype and iterate agentic AI solutions
  • Develop enterprise workflows with AI and Data Governance.
  • Utilize Microsoft Power Platform and Power Automate for workflow automation.
  • Utilize Copilot Studio's Agent Builder, and the use of application connectors for task agents.

 Automation Strategy and Execution:

  • Map business processes, identify high-value automation opportunities, and define agent capabilities in partnership with stakeholders.
  • Lead proof-of-concept development and oversee integration with enterprise systems via APIs and workflow orchestration tools.
  • Establish and track KPIs to measure productivity gains, cost savings, and user adoption.

 Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with product managers, engineers, UX designers, and operations teams to embed AI solutions into core business functions.
  • Drive organizational adoption of AI tools and processes, applying best practices in AI governance and responsible AI.

 Technical Leadership and Best Practices:

  • Provide technical oversight, review code, guide prompt engineering, and define evaluation benchmarks for AI agent solutions.
  • Document workflows, models, and processes to ensure knowledge sharing and adherence to best practices.
  • Be an AI Ambassador for the team and the wider community.

 Continuous Innovation:

  • Validate AI impact through experimentation frameworks such as AB testing and performance benchmarking.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager. 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience in AI, machine learning, or automation, with a bachelor’s degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Automate and Microsoft Agentic workflows using Copilot Studio.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and deploying AI agents for enterprise automation.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, or similar languages. Experience with AI agent frameworks (LangChain, OpenAI, Azure AI, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of ML, deep learning, NLP, and data pipeline development.
  • Ability to explain complex business and technical concepts to broad audiences in an approachable way and strong documentation skills
  • Knowledge of Copilot Studio Agent Builder, and the use of application connectors for task agents.
  • Experience with prompt engineering, RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation), and working with Vector databases.
  • Hands-on coding experience
  • Experience of automating customer-support flows, billing, and invoicing flows
  • Experience in payments, fintech, or large-scale enterprise environments
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and cross-functional team leadership
  • Track record of driving measurable business impact through automation and agent creation.
  • Experience with AI governance, compliance, and responsible AI practices

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 146,200.00 to 211,850.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
