Virta is an online specialty medical clinic that reverses type 2 diabetes safely and sustainably without the risks, costs, or side effects of medications or surgery. Our innovations in nutritional biochemistry, data science and digital tools combined with our clinical  expertise are shifting the diabetes treatment paradigm from management to reversal. Our mission: reverse type 2 diabetes in 100 million people by 2025.

Virta is now available to nearly 100% of the U.S population, and we are expanding our capabilities to bring our groundbreaking online type 2 diabetes reversal clinic directly to patients. As Virta’s Marketing Manager, you’ll shape the success of this effort for years to come. You’ll define and execute top of funnel campaigns, both online and offline, that help fuel growth. You’ll get to know prospective patients from every angle, creating segmentation and corresponding programs that drive awareness and interest of Virta. You will also play a key role in helping in other areas of Virta marketing, including corporate announcements and enterprise and physician marketing initiatives. A successful person in this role will simply love marketing, be willing to get their hands dirty in different areas, and know how to move quickly to get things done.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to author and execute creative campaigns to drive growth across digital and offline channels. Ideal candidate will have experience with at least some of the following: Email, Social Media, PPC, Events, and Direct Mail
  • Obsessively customer-centric with ability to identify customer needs and create segmentation to support successful marketing programs
  • Strong writer and ability to create everything from website copy to blog entries to whitepapers to video scripts
  • Ideally experience with marketing automation tools (or a willingness and ability to dig in and learn)
  • Skilled at working with data, identifying insights, and building successful marketing programs based on what you’ve learned
  • Passion for building processes and leveraging tools that make people’s job easier and provide for 10x scale

Responsibilities

  • Creation and execute marketing campaigns in both digital and offline channels, including SEM, Social Media, Email, and events
  • Contribute to the development of Virta’s consumer marketing strategy, including how it integrates with Virta’s other initiatives in corporate, physician and enterprise marketing
  • Become an expert at using the Virta’s marketing tools, including those for automation, website analysis, and A/B testing, to help drive customer growth
  • Perform regular detailed analysis of campaigns and top of funnel performance and identify suggested actions
  • Contribute to announcements and initiatives that drive awareness of and attention to upcoming releases Virta’s clinical trial outcomes

 Within your first 90 days at Virta

  • Work with marketing leaders to execute direct-to-patient acquisition strategies that aligns with existing corporate growth objectives
  • Implement quick-win marketing campaigns that generate patient leads
  • Create and manage initiatives related to “launches” of Virta clinical trial outcomes that help establish Virta as a thought leader within the type 2 diabetes and metabolic health landscape
  • Learn as much as possible about patients through participating in intake calls, leveraging existing research, and establishing new methods that help identify patient needs

Bryce works as a full-stack engineer on the Internal Tools Team, building software to help Virta’s clinicians and health coaches effectively treat patients. Outside of his team, he's helped build Virta culture by developing processes around interviewing and by organizing internal hackathons.

Neha leads engineering efforts around Virta’s patient-facing mobile and web applications. She facilitates cross-company communication, supports engineering productivity, and assists in the development of Virta’s technical and product roadmaps.
