Intern - Latin America

Village Capital

The way we invest in new ideas is broken. Billions of dollars go to the hands of a few people, in a few states, countries and networks. The outcome: entrepreneurs aren’t solving the most relevant problems in society, such as health, education, energy, agriculture, water, and financial inclusion.
In its third year of operations in Mexico, Village Capital is on a mission to change the status quo, reinventing venture capital by sourcing, training, and investing in entrepreneurs solving challenges critical to the future of society. Our core innovation—a peer-selected investment model and investment readiness program—delivers better results for both entrepreneurs and investors.
In Mexico to date, Village Capital has supported 34 early-stage companies and committed $400,000 USD investment in 6 companies. Collectively, Village Capital graduates have leveraged initial capital 25:1, created over 10,000 jobs, and served 6 million customers. Village Capital has made over 70 investments into early-stage ventures, 90% of which are still in operation and 11 of which have already provided profitable exits.
