Channel Manager, EMEA

The role

VICE is looking for a Channel Manager EMEA to focus on publishing strategy across some of our biggest video properties. This position will use data to inform decisions and will collaborate closely with content creators to ensure that our content is being released in the most optimal way across all of VICE’s social video presence for international audiences. 

You must be able to navigate a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment with efficiency and maturity. We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic about social media and all things VICE — someone who is a data-obsessed and mindful with the ability to communicate with a variety of audiences but also somebody is deeply connected with culture, media, film, art music and politics.

Responsibilities 

  • Process and publish video across the VICE Digital network
  • Take ownership of the video programming schedule, ensuring strong communication on timelines and changes with all key internal stakeholders
  • Curate VICE’s international video programming across multiple digital distribution platforms
  • Work daily with production and post-production teams on social video delivery, ensuring all video output follows necessary specifications 
  • Work with our international video teams to ensure local language video content distribution across the VICE Digital network 
  • Ensure that all upcoming global video productions are correctly formatted and readied for international distribution
  • Test, learn and roll-out recommendations for effective video packaging and copywriting, working in collaboration with Marketing and Executive Producers
  • Curate, manage and regularly update landing pages, featured placements and video playlists across VICE’s social platforms and website
  • Work with the Content Data Analyst to develop and share insights and learnings around video performance across platforms to improve international video impact and creative decision making

Experience

  • Strong familiarly with metadata and SEO best practices
  • Experience working with international teams
  • Experience with content management systems for video 
  • Experience with Facebook Insights, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and YouTube
  • Extremely organised and detail-oriented, with a keen eye for copy editing
  • A strong understanding of the VICE brand and it’s tone of voice and style
  • Taste: you should have a strong interest in art and film and hold a natural ability to effectively curate programming with specific audiences in mind
  • Second language is a bonus
