Sr. IT Systems Analyst

Primary Function

This position will serve as relationship manager, providing information technology support and expertise for a key planning function within Vera Bradley in order to meet business objectives. Drive innovation, process improvement, and project management support for assigned functional area.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and deliver quality solutions to support system(s) including JDA Demand Planning, JDA Enterprise Planning and JDA Allocation including detailed system level application and issue resolution

• Closely collaborate with the business to understand business processes and technical system implications; provide creative technical options, specifications and requirements related to system and business improvements

• Collaborate with IT leadership to ensure technical perspective is incorporated into business planning and daily operations; evaluate IT utilization and effectiveness for client group

• Continually map business process and activities to existing and emerging planning tools for purposes of identifying improvement opportunities; understand planning processes, influencers and priorities

• Integrate as a core member of the functional team and understand their needs and requirements within IT; act as liaison and maintain the channels of communication between the functional area and the IT department

• Develop and execute projects that effectively deliver business solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations

• Monitor criteria for measuring progress and quality of project-oriented delivery; determine impact of changes and related organizational impact of technology solutions

Education and/or Experience
• Bachelor of Science in Information Systems/MIS, computer science, business or related field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years technical experience in Information Technology in support of enterprise class systems
• Exposure to enterprise class system(s) as it relates to the functional area required
• Exposure to supporting specific functional area(s) required

• Ability to articulate technical concepts in a relatable way to business users
• Strong background in application development and database technologies and concepts
• Excellent PC skills utilizing Microsoft Office software
• Proven problem solving and analytical skills
• Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent organization and follow through skills
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build and maintain good rapport with internal and external customers and handle situations with confidence, tact and resourcefulness
• Flexible, adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast paced office environment
• Strong team player
