Retail Visual & Events Manager - Vera Bradley at SoHo
Responsible for the execution and maintenance of Vera Bradley’s visual merchandising standards to create a sensory pleasing experience through enhancement of presentation, product and people to optimize sales. Coordinate company events to align with the company’s strategic initiatives and goals. Work with the functional area to set and communicate event guidelines
ESSENTIAL DUTIES &RESPONSIBILITIES (Note: Other duties may be assigned)

•Responsible for planning, executing and maintaining overall store Visual presentation throughout entire store
•Responsible for event coordination activities including developing ideas for events and collaboration with internal home office teams on support materials and PR communications.
•Provide input to the Home Office Visual team to create store’s seasonal launch and release
•Responsible for visual training to maintain Visual Standards within the store as well as providing feedback and direction on all visual merchandising issues to Home Office Visual Team.
•Work closely with Head of Store Development on visual projects including but not limited to, maintaining New York showroom.
•Work collaboratively with functional departments to plan and execute events that promote the Vera Bradley brand, ensuring brand standards are upheld.
•Make recommendations on store design based on traffic and top selling colors and styles
•Participate in store flips to ensure outcome is picture perfect
•Participate in walk throughs with store management/ and Store Development team to ensure seamless execution of all visual standards
•Ensure completion of predetermined map before Store Sets, once approved plan and strategize with scheduling manager in order to maximize efficiency.
•Act as Visual and Marketing liaison between Store Associates, Store Leadership and Home office for all Visual and Event communications
•Assist with delivering an exceptional customer experience
•Responsible for exceeding sales goals, building store traffic, converting Customers, interacting with the product and promoting campaigns and contests to drive brand awareness and lasting customer relationships
•Partner with store leadership team to maintain operational standards
•Act as a Brand Ambassador and Company Representative at all events, consistently modeling and upholding the Vera Bradley Core Values
•Work in conjunction with stock team to maintain organizational standards in offstage areas
•Coordinate all aspects of event preparation including internal and external workers, photography, catering/floral tips, and event check lists. Deliver recap, track success and analyze effectiveness of the event
•Maintain calendar of events and budgets
•Initiate and maintain vendor relationships
•Develop a library of event ideas and guidelines and support materials
•Give effective presentations on event planning and purpose
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
•High School graduate. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in visual merchandising, styling or interior design or equivalent experience is preferred. Specialized merchandising training desirable.
•2-5 years creative visual merchandising experience. Experience in retail flagship environment strongly preferred.
•2+ years project coordination and/or event planning experience
•Experience with retail POS system a plus

•Must be able to work with strong fragrances and scents in the form of eau de toilette, burning candles, bath and shower gel, body lotion, hand cream and bar soap throughout the work day.
•Ability to operate office equipment, including computers, copiers, fax machines, and phones
•Some travel may be required
•Ability to occasionally lift up to 35lbs
