IT Quality Assurance Analyst


Responsible for supporting releases of from a functional and automation perspective by supporting quality assurance programs and processes in alignment with the QA strategy, as well as providing feedback on artifacts developed during requirements and analysis phase within client projects; authoring test cases; and performing test execution for both project and support related activities. Works with all IT teams to ensure that QA best practices and processes are followed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Note: Other duties may be assigned)

  • Triage and document details for reported issues
  • Define, develop and maintain test scripts
  • Design, maintain and execute manual and automated test cases for functional and end-to-end tests
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage of functional tests and regression test suites
  • Perform manual functional testing from user perspective
  • Create functional test cases based on requirements and design documents in collaboration with business analysts, developers and architects
  • Perform test data readiness for test cases, as applicable
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing with business stakeholders
  • Execute backend processes to facilitate order flows through test systems
  • Support teams during releases with QA validation
  • Perform testing for feeds in various formats such as XML, JSON, and CSV
  • Escalates issues to management proactively and alerts the project team on potential impact to test schedule
  • Provides timely and accurate status defect information and appropriate metrics to facilitate QA reporting
  • Participates in all different test phase per project needs


  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related or equivalent experience required
  • 3 years' IT experience in an eCommerce environment
  • Experience supporting IT quality assurance programs and processes

  • Strong PC skills utilizing Microsoft Office analytical tools
  • Ability to develop reports and presentations that effectively communicate important and complex processes in business terms
  • Strong ability to drive defect triage meetings and articulate defect details
  • Ability to analyze application logs to gain understanding of data related issues
  • Background in testing software at API and Web service level and testing eCommerce applications
  • Experience in designing, writing, and executing Test Cases
  • Knowledge of defect management tools (JIRA/Confluence)
  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills
  • Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible, adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast paced office environment
  • Strong team player
