Talent Operations Associate

Do you find yourself wondering “how could I improve this” ten times a day? Does building an efficient process excite you? We are searching for a high-capacity, detail-oriented addition to our Talent team to help us build and execute our world-class Fellow-selection process. This role offers the option to work at our New York headquarters or in any VFA city.

What you'll do:

  • Run the back-end of our Selection machine
  • Build and run our application and review tracking systems
  • Craft new, more efficient ways of getting 2000+ applicants through our process 
  • Ensure that we are preserving our data for years
  • Become an authority in evaluating candidates and help others gain similar expertise
  • Coordinate with our reviewers, providing feedback to help them improve
  • Develop trainings for reviewers to ensure a consistent process
  • Travel to Selection Days in our cities, up to 40% of your time
  • Guide decisions about our selection process based on a deep understanding of data
  • Build Salesforce dashboards to ensure we are building an amazing Class
  • Equip our Fundraising team with the information they need to get financial support for our work
  • Participate in all aspects of the VFA Talent team
  • Review written applications, conduct video interviews, lead a room full of applicants through our final round Selection Day activities
  • Act as the main point of contact for assigned applicants and Fellows, mentoring them through the selection process all the way through finding a job in a VFA city

What you might have already done:

  • Worked for a 0-3 years in event planning, talent acquisition, or an otherwise detail-heavy role
