Services Operations Specialist

Job Summary

Veeva Systems is looking for an experienced field operations specialist.  The Field Operations Specialist will work closely with the field teams to manage many aspects of our internal and customer facing operations, including managing operational best practices, and executing the tactical needs that are generated by Veeva’s aggressive growth.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting and guiding the services organization to adhere to maturing practices for everything from revenue forecast analysis to accounts receivable awareness
  • Supporting a professional services organization of around 20 consultants to drive accurate and up to date time and expense submissions
  • Managing partner and subcontractor work orders, consulting hour submissions, and invoice approvals and reconciliations
  • Facilitating operational communications to customers around billing and invoicing questions or issues
  • Conduct audits of the reporting system to support operational best practices
  • Assist and check on project document archive in Vault.
  • No travel required, opportunities for occasional travel

  • Fluent in English (oral and written)
  • Strong communication skills
  • High level of proficiency with Excel (i.e. pivot tables, not macros)
  • Highly organized as role touches many facets of our services operations
  • Ability to work with minimal direction or supervision
  • Experience working successfully in a rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated experience as self-starter taking initiative to identify inefficiencies and ability to drive improvement
  • Bachelor’s degree
Nice to Have
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce.com reporting
  • Interest in learning Salesforce.com administration or other technical skills
  • Experience with a consulting or professional services firm
  • Experience with revenue forecasting and financial procedures
