Job Summary:

As the Facilities Engineer, you’ll work closely with the Workplace Services team to help us keep our building in top operating condition.  You will have a wide range of responsibilities including development/management of our preventative maintenance program, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of building systems (HVAC, lighting, plumbing, etc.), and performing general maintenance activities as required.  You must take pride in workmanship, have a customer focused approach, and enjoy working with a wide variety of people.


  • Manage all ad-hoc and preventative maintenance activities for the facility
  • Manage and oversee work by external vendors/contractors
  • Act as the go-to contact for all mechanical and building-related issues
  • Assist Workplace Services team with small moves, furniture, and similar activities


  • Working knowledge of general office building systems (HVAC, lighting, plumbing, etc.)
  • Basic project management skills
  • Ability to create/manage preventative management schedule
  • 2-5 years experience in 2 or more of the following areas:
  • Mechanical (Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC)
  • Carpentry/painting/drywall repairs
  • Furniture assembly/moves
  • General handyman/maintenance tasks
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and respond to building emergencies 24/7
  • Able to work independently or with limited supervision
  • Effective communicator (both oral and written) and strong interpersonal skills
Nice to Have:
  • Proficient in the use of common business software applications (MS Excel, Word, Google applications, etc.)
  • Trade or building systems certifications a plus
  • The ideal candidate would reside within 30 miles of our Pleasanton HQ
