Virtual Sales Executive (Edward Jones Channel)

The Edward Jones Sales Specialist will work to develop and maintain meaningful client relationships with financial advisors and centers of influence within the Edward Jones Channel. Purpose is to acquire and retain ETF business in specified geographic territory and other products as warranted.

Job Description:

  • Develop, grow, and retain relationships with Edward Jones Advisors through targeted activity. Identify key decision makers and centers of influence to gain market share.
  • Maximize engagements with all levels of EDJ Advisors with an eye towards prioritization of time (qualify/disqualify effectively) and engagement method (face to face/phone/email/virtual/groups etc).
  • Drive results. Consistently achieve goals and execute well thought-out campaigns and strategic territory management. Understand and track key drivers of business.
  • Collaborate with internal and client partners to facilitate/participate in special events, client seminars, and key educational meetings and events to build credibility, provide actionable sales ideas, and establish durable relationships.
  • Deliver key messages that are easily understood by all audiences in a compelling manner that influences and gains commitment/action from others using excellent presentation and selling skills.
  • Demonstrate strong acumen inclusive of: Edward Jones business model, intermediary business, capital markets and investment products and services. Seek to deepen acumen as appropriate.
  • Continuously improve and proactively increase skill and expertise with Vanguard thought leadership and relevant topics, approaches, tools and methods.
  • Lead/participate in other projects/duties as assigned.


  • Undergraduate degree
  • 2-4 years financial services industry experience
  • FINRA series 7 and 63
  • Superior oral, written, and phone communication skills
  • Self-motivated and driven to excel
  • Travel up to 30%
