Sr. Identity/Sailpoint Technical Lead - Global Risk and Security

As a Sr. Identity & Access Management Enginee r, you will be a technical lead tasked with architecture , designing, engineering, implementing and maintaining our internal Identity Management security platforms. Your work will be responsible for the solution development of securely managing user, system and privileged access across the Vanguard ecosystem including internal & external applications.
Job Description
Vanguard's Identity and Access Management (IAM) team helps leaders and crew protect Vanguard client and company assets by ensuring that crew, consultants, vendors, and partners have the right access to the right system resources at the right time. As a senior level Identity & Access Management Engineer, you will be a technical lead tasked with leading the exploratory architecture, solution designing, engineering integrations, implementing and maintaining our internal Identity Management security platforms. You'll be responsible for influencing our IAM partners on how to leverage technology & automation to meet their business objectives as well as interpreting requirements to come up with solutions options that are part of future state architecture. You will also need to provide oversight to other members of the team on how they are delivering on their assigned stories. If you have experience in ownership of IAM platforms such as Sailpoint or the like, technologies such as Java, Javascript, Beanshell or Python and have a proficient understanding of working within an agile environment than we want to hear from you.
In this role you will:
- Provide senior level system analysis, architecture, design, development, and implementation of IAM applications that will integrate systematically with databases, mainframe, server OS, AWS/Azure Cloud and SAAS endpoints.
- Coach & Mentor on Technology best practices in software design to team members
- Technical Lead for more multiple workstreams for IAM Engineering
- Work with Architecture Teams on solution design and impact analysis for upcoming Enterprise projects impacting IAM
- Translate technical specifications, and/or logical and physical design into code for new or enhancement projects for internal IAM clients. Develop code and test artifacts that reuse subroutines or objects, is well structured, and backed by automated tests, includes sufficient comments and is easy to maintain. Write programs, appropriate test artifacts, ad hoc queries, and reports. Employ contemporary software development techniques to ensure tests are implemented in a way that supports automation.
- Elevate code into the development, test, and Production environments on schedule. Provide follow up Production support. Submit change control requests and documents.
- Follow software development methodology. Follow architecture standards.
- Lead in design, code, and test Inspections throughout life cycle to identify issues. Participate in other meetings, such as those for use case creation.
- Lead in systems analysis activities, including system requirements analysis and definition (e.g., prototyping), and logical and physical design.
- Write the system/technical portion of assigned deliverables, including the Version Description Document. Assist technical team members with the system/technical portion of their deliverables (e.g., systems testers, test plans). On small teams, the developer may write these items.
- Understand client business functions and technology needs. Understand Vanguard's tools, technologies, and applications/databases, including those that interface with business area and systems.
- Comply with IT policies and procedures, especially those for quality and productivity standards that enable the team to meet established milestones. Comply with all Information Security policies and procedures, and verify deliverables to meet Information Security requirements.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
What it takes:
- Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience
- Minimum 6 years Java/J2EE developer experience
- Minimum 4 years Identity & Access Management Platform Administrator experience, 2 years of SailPoint IIQ Application/Platform onboarding required
- Minimum 2 years AWS IAM or AWS Integration experience
- Proficient knowledge of IAM principles, controls and auditory requirements
- Proficient written and oral communication skills
- Proficient analysis and problem solving skills
- Proficient planning and organizational skills
- Proficient knowledge of the following development practices and concepts: •Quality assurance methodology and Inspections •Use case standards •Systems analysis and design techniques •System/subsystem requirements •Libraries, reusable code, and/or object oriented standards •Screen, report, and query design
- Intermediate knowledge of current versions of the following products:
- Microsoft Office Suite •
- Visio

- Travel: For Charlotte, NC-based staff, limited travel to Valley Forge, PA is required for new employee orientation, project kickoff meetings, other meetings, and training.
