Scrum Master Chapter Lead

As a Scrum Master, you will provide leadership and mentoring to help define the strategy and approach to Agile practices and methodologies across all teams to generate increased business value. Requirements

In this role you will:

  • Serve as a guide in the area where you are the person with the highest level of knowledge.
  • Develop and manage organizational expertise in the Scrum Master Chapter.
  • Define professional standards/work methodology within the Chapter.
  • Define and evolve the capability building roadmap for Chapter members at both the individual and aggregate levels.
  • Drive consistency of the knowledge and skills of the Chapter, actively supporting chapter members in building skills and developing a mastery of relevant frameworks.
  • Manage and develop capabilities within your Chapter through coaching, training and mentoring.
  • Evaluate Chapter members' performance and provide targeted feedback and coaching.
  • Partner with journey owners and other chapter leaders on decision-making, problem-solving, and resolution of performance issues.
  • Manage progression planning for Chapter members and coordinate with them on their long-term professional development.
  • Manage capacity, assignment, and backfill of the Chapter members, evaluating needs of the different teams and organizing support.
  • Support HR in seeking and obtaining talent.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience and mastery of the Chapter's subject area.
  • 3+ years' experience as a manager of a team of scrum masters or as a chapter lead of scrum masters.
  • Experience in developing clear performance expectations and clearly communicating success measures to Chapter members
  • Experience interviewing, hiring and assessing personnel.
  • Experience working across organizations, business units or countries.

Good communication skills to teach staff new concepts and techniques and convey to staff decisions about their performance evaluations, promotions, sanctions and dismissals in a professional form.
Demonstrable skills in mentoring team members in the areas of performance, standards and work methods.
