In this role you will
As an Agile Scrum Master, you'll work with a team that's changing the way IT gets done at Vanguard. Our teams work together to own and solve business problems. We are encouraged to push the boundaries of the status quo and operate with enhanced speed and agility to deliver meaningful customer experiences in a rapid build-measure-learn manner. A Scrum Master should be able to navigate the organization, work diligently to clear the team's impediments, and enable the team to achieve and maintain a level of high performance.
With a focus on value delivery vs. project delivery, your understanding of agile frameworks and practices will be called upon as you coach and mentor your team so that its collective output improves sprint after sprint. You'll also have opportunities to share your best practices, tips, and techniques with other agile scrum masters across the organization.

Focused on creating innovative user experiences, you'll work with our marketing teams to deliver content for our website. Your fresh ideas will directly impact our marketing strategy and help us redefine the world of mutual funds. While your analytical approach to problem-solving, underpinned by strong organizational skills, will make you a valuable member of a collaborative team that shares ideas and solves problems in new ways. And at every stage of the process you'll enjoy many opportunities to deepen your knowledge and widen your experience.
What it takes
- Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience
- 3+ years of Scrum Master responsibilities
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong, demonstrated analysis and problem-solving skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Ability to implement instrumentation to gather business-specific metrics around consumer usage patterns
