Provide systems analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and databases for a variety of applications that may include mainframe, client/server-, Web-, and/or PC-based systems.

Job Description:

Provide systems analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and databases for a variety of applications that may include mainframe, client/server-, Web-, and/or PC-based systems; participate in all phases including requirements analysis, client interaction, design, coding, testing and support and documentation; gather and document requirements, requirements analysis, convert requirements into high level design documents; create test data studying the business requirements and directly interact with business team for any changes in the requirement specifications; utilize scrum and Agile development methodology; utilize IBM Websphere datastage 8.7 tool to extract data from Mainframe using FTP, transforming it according to client need and loading to SmartStream TLM system; develop parallel jobs for custom tasks to be handled in job sequencers; convert mainframe Extended Binary Coded Decimal Interchange Code (EBCDIC) to Unix ASCH data; work on migration of jobs from Datastage 8.7 to Datastage 11.5 version and optimize the code for efficient performance and resolve any issues; redesign existing process and modify them for improvement and maximum efficiency; develop and support Extraction, Transformation and Load (ETL) Process for data warehousing; test, analyze and recode complex Datastage Jobs and create Unix Shell Scripting for reconciliation of money movement; work in an advanced level environment involving Datastage IBM InfoSphere; IBM InfoSphere Information Server Manager; Data Warehousing; as well as Oracle 11 database. Opportunity to work remotely from home on an occasional basis.

Requirements:

Requires Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or closely related field and three years of experience in job offered or in IT position(s) including Programmer Analyst and/or Sr. Systems Analyst. Background in education, training or experience must include knowledge of development practices and concepts, including quality assurance methodology and inspections, use case standards, systems analysis and design techniques, system/subsystem requirements, libraries, reusable code, and/or object oriented standards, screen, report, and query design; knowledge of current versions of Microsoft Office Suite and Visio; knowledge of development tools IBM Infosphere 8.7/11.5 (Datastage Designer, Datastage Director, Datastage Administrator, Infosphere Server Manager); knowledge of applications Control-M, Putty, Rumba 8.1, Connection Central; knowledge of programming languages Unix Shell scripting and SQL (Structured Query Language).
