Data Governance Product Owner

You will develop the journey vision and roadmap, and provide a strong understanding of business drivers and a relentless focus on client needs. You will manage and support the journey team, resolving delivery issues and ensuring outcomes are aligned with the targeted business case. You will translate the vision into an actionable business case and delivery plan. You will lead the execution of the delivery plan, articulating the impact of choices on KPI's.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Influence and collaborate with journey team and multi-functional enablement teams to build journey transformations that drive significant change to the client experience.
  • Challenge the business to seek for an innovative solution; "think out of the box" and ensure outstanding solution designs. Accept and drive experimentation to measure and implement coordinated and tried solutions across multiple channels (web, email, print, phone, etc).
  • Oversee and monitor health of journey family from end-to-end using internal and external metrics. Lead work and KPIs of journey team and elevate help requests to alleviate roadblocks.
  • Ensure journey business outcomes are linked to business case drivers.
  • Generate and sustain strong business support by working with team members to help forge common understanding of the commercial decisions/impacts and the client propositions proposed. Drive connection across all appropriate stakeholders both within and outside of department to optimize journeys end-to-end.
  • Conduct analyses required to problem solve with the team on specific delivery, design, and strategic issues.
  • Support program business analysis and systems thinking by preparing and reviewing 'thought observations', process/system maps, data analysis, and research findings.
  • Serve as authority supporting discussions with internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Participate and influence ongoing business planning and departmental prioritization activities.
  • Perform other duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred
  • Minimum eight years relevant work experience in IT.
  • Demonstrable ability to achieve results while working in multi-functional environment
  • Shown experience with facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and growing transparency.
  • Demonstrable experience implementing and executing Agile principles with strong digital and technical skills.
  • Demonstrable experience and deep understanding of user experience standard methodologies.
Additional Qualifications
  • Defines reference and implementation application architectures.
  • Able to partner with business and IT stakeholders to develop, articulate and deliver a modern vision for governing data.
  • Assist in defining technology roadmaps in support of SI's application portfolio vision and strategy.
  • Demonstrated experience in using innovative techniques to design and deliver ideal user experiences.
  • Have a relentless focus on process improvement to drive value and enable innovation through the safe and responsible use of data.
  • Have a clear track record of delivering innovative solutions in a complex and fast paced environment.
  • Monitors application implementation activity to ensure architecture and design principles are upheld.
  • Establishes relationships with senior IT and Business leaders for the purpose of advancing proposed application architecture solutions.
