The Supply Chain Process and Automation Process Lead develops and delivers on the US Foods long range automation strategy through key strategic initiatives and deployment of technologies and tools to support the warehouse operations and transportation and delivery teams. Works individually and in groups with corporate and local management teams to improve the supply chain operational efficiency. Deploys supply chain equipment and technology, working closely with internal and external vendors and consultants to develop the most efficient processes and technology solutions.

This position is virtual/remote which means the work can be completed from anywhere is the United States except Hawaii or United States Territories.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collects, analyzes, and interprets operational data to create and implement lasting efficiency and/or quality improvement solutions
• Supports facility and automation design ensuring the most efficient layout and proven best practices are in place and followed
• Deploys and trains users on supply chain technology and automated material handling equipment
• Documents, presents and trains on best practices
• Explores and recommends new technology and processes to improve supply chain efficiency
• Meets with potential outside vendors, recommends and participates in vendor selection
• Directs project team members by providing a clear understanding of project objectives, limitations, and timelines, influencing others to deliver on project goals and objectives
• Uses project management principles for planning, scheduling, executing, and controlling all projects
• Works with finance and cross-functional partners to assist in the development of robust economically driven business cases and capital justifications
• Measures results and success rates of initiatives through use of Key performance indicators
• Meets or exceeds established safety, service, cost, and productivity goals
RELATIONSHIPS
Internal:
• Primary relationship with Supply Chain (Replenishment, Operations, Operations Excellence, Transportation and Routing, Logistics, Customer Experience), Commercial, Finance, Enterprise PMO
• Close partnership with SC IT team in coordinating systems and hardware requirements, integration, testing, and acceptance
External:
• Professional networks, industry organizations, systems and equipment vendors, and/or consultants focused on leading practices in supply chain systems and technology deployment
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Remote: This role is fully remote; the associate is expected to perform assigned responsibilities from a home-based environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics, IT, or other relevant field
• 4 years of experience implementing new technology and automated material handling equipment for a large organization
• Up to 50% travel, will need a valid US Drivers License
• Track record of leveraging established industry best practices, processes, methodologies, and content
• Expertise operations management and process management tools
• Experience integrating multiple systems and applications
• Strong skills in developing workflow solutions to simplify process operations
• Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
• Ability to work independently as well as in a highly collaborative, team-based environment
• Have a broad-based general technology mindset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Visio, Word, and PowerPoint) and/or G Suite. Experience using and implanting modern cloud-based warehouse management solutions (e.g., Blue Yonder, Manhattan, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
• Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Ability to interact effectively across the organization including with senior level management. Highly motivated with the ability to lead with behaviors that encourage innovation, change, and teamwork.
• Strong ability to communicate with IT users, warehouse operators, and business leaders to craft processes that enable favorable business outcomes
• Customer-focused approach to delivering services and support to internal customers
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience implementing new technology and automated material handling equipment for a large organization in the food distribution and/or grocery distribution industry
The following information is provided in accordance with certain state and local laws. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. In Colorado, the expected compensation for this role is between $78,700.00 and $115,000.00. In New York City, the expected compensation for this role is between $92,800.00 to $115,000.00. In California and Washington, the expected compensation for this role is between $88,200.00 and $115,000.00. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan bonus.
