Launch and Change Management Co-op (Summer 2018)

The intern will Work with and support the launch coordinators with launch & series related activities of current plant projects. Maintain specific content overviews, generate reports, help with the investigation of potential engineering issues, support coordinators in running new part trials prior to implementation, etc. In addition, will take on responsibilities related to test cars, line trials, deviations, engineering change checklists, web reporting, and/or build lists as capacity requires. Will learn the processes required to introduce engineering changes into series production as well as new model launches.

Qualifications and experience
1. MS Excel and Office Suite knowledge.
2. Computer aptitude (ability to learn BMW Group systems, SAP, VBA, etc)
3. Planning and Organization skills; able to manage large quantities of data in a structured manner
4. Ability to work independently and show initiative
5. Knowledge or experience of manufacturing processes and workflows preferred.
6. German language is a plus

Pursuing one of the following degrees - Industrial Engineering, Logistics/Operations Management, Business Management or other relevant degree

Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
Have full time status at an accredited four year college or university in the United States
Completed at least 30 credit hours
Able to complete 3 rotating terms for co-op positions
Have at least 1 remaining term in school after the completion of the co-op or internship
Transfer students must have a GPA from current university
Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term
Must have the legal right to work for BMW Manufacturing Co., LLC in the United States
