IT Delivery Manager, Finance

The IT Delivery Manager, Finance is responsible to manage the project and application portfolio for the entire Finance Process Area (incl. Controlling, Accounting, HR, Purchasing etc.). He/she is responsible for delivering all projects in this area following BMW standard project methodologies. This position is responsible to manage a team of project leaders who ensure that all project phases (requirements gathering, design, construction, execution of all test phases, go live and hypercare for projects and functional maintenance implementations) are executed professionally. In addition, this position will work with other IT managers, both locally and internationally, to set expectations and establish project structure based on project requirements.

The IT Delivery Manager Finance Manager will meet regularly with the business areas to understand the development of the business environment and manage the alignment of IT systems with business processes. The incumbent will also advise the business on how changes to IT systems and technology can improve or effect business process and results. This position will participate in vendor management and use the process to purchase goods and services as required by the agreed project approach and will review and approve contracts from service providers together with Legal, Finance, Purchasing and the business.  

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • 7-10 years of IT management experience in a combination of the below:
  • 3 years of staff supervisory experience
  • 5 years of project management experience
  • 5 years of analysis and design experience
