The News-Press (, in Fort Myers, FL, is seeking a community watchdog reporter to cover the city of Cape Coral, one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S. The ideal candidate believes that the best journalism starts at the grass roots, has passion for dogged pursuit of the truth and has developed skills for a digital –first approach to coverage.

Candidates should have at least two years of professional journalism experience, strong reporting and writing skills, social media skills and the ability to shoot and tell video stories.

Cape Coral and Fort Myers are located in sunny paradise, along the Gulf of Mexico coast in Southwest Florida, perfect for outdoors lovers and foodies and those who love fishing and boating.
