The University of Cincinnati reporter covers the largest collegiate athletics program in the market and competes to break news and tell stories across multiple platforms. The reporter will tell stories related to the UC athletic programs on and off the field while working alongside other content creators to provide primary coverage for The Cincinnati Enquirer, Cincinnati.com and the USA TODAY Media Network, which includes more than 90 news markets nationwide.

We are seeking an innovative journalist who is intensely focused on content and the best ways to connect with our audience across all our platforms, with an emphasis on original coverage and analysis. A proven record of covering high school or major college sports is a must. We are hiring for creative content and a traditional media background is by no means mandatory. Exceptional knowledge of recruiting, NCAA compliance, the business of sports and the community are preferred. We expect breaking news, fan engagement, in-depth features and exceptional enterprise on this highly competitive beat. A rock-solid work ethic is essential for this year-round endeavor.

The position is based in Cincinnati, where the quality of living is high and the appetite for coverage of UC athletics is plentiful. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, generous vacation policy, 401(k), and more.

This role requires a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the minimum liability insurance required by state law.
