Trucking and Delivery - Driver I

The Reno Gazette Journal has a great opportunity for someone that has experience driving and is looking for steady work in the distribution industry. Hours include nights, weekends & holidays. Successful applicants must complete and pass a drug test and background check. Perform pre/post truck inspections of vehicles. Night shift: approx. 8 pm to 6 am shift approx. 20-29 hrs per week. Shifts will very.Responsibilities: Safely drive trucks in the Reno & Carson City areas delivering Pallets of newspapers and related products to distribution centers & drop points in northern Nevada area. Perform material handling duties on the loading dock. Operate pallet-loading equipment and safely move pallets of newspaper products into trucks and distribution centers. Education/Experience: High school graduate. Class C DL is required. Should be familiar with the Reno area, able to perform basic math skills and learn routes to distribution centers. Valid driver's license, good driving record and the ability to lift bundles of newspapers weighing up to 40 pounds is essential.
