SPECIFIC DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Thoroughly clean presses and general pressroom clean up. Fills ink canisters and distribute to presses. Remove all excess canisters and buckets from all presses. Clean ink canisters and hoses. Mark up press units for proper positioning of plates using layout sheets from layout supervisor. Spot press plates in designated areas. Set up supplies for cleaning blankets and cylinders. Must be able to work flexible hours, including days/nights/weekends/holidays.
Standing, walking, climbing, stooping, reaching, crouching, kneeling, handling, pushing 900 to 3,300 lbs., hearing seeing, speaking and color vision. Extensive standing, stooping, climbing, bending, stretching, must be able to climb up, in and around presses; must be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs.; must be able to help (2 person task) lift and carry at least 140 lb. press roller; must be able to push newsprint rolls weighing up to 3,300 lbs. on a four-wheeled paper dolly. Must be able to reach and work with arms extended above head for extended periods of time.
SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED:
Ability to understand and follow written and oral directions.
High school diploma or GED.
