The Daytona Beach News-Journal is seeking a reporter with an interest in social services and government accountability. This reporter will focus on social services issues ranging from homelessness to drug addiction to child welfare. In addition, this reporter will keep an eye on one of our key city beats.
Daytona Beach is located on the "World's Most Famous Beach," where there is a great quality of life that is still affordable. The area is growing, and there are enough issues and friction points to keep any reporter busy. We're looking for someone with a couple years of experience, but will also consider entry-level candidates with good clips and fire in the belly. It's an opportunity to join a team-spirited newsroom that is a key part of Gannett's Team Florida.
Interested and qualified journalists, please apply here and upload your materials (resume, cover letter, work samples link/portfolio, etc.) combined into one single document attachment. **It's important that these items be combined into a single document (preferably in PDF format). The application only allows you to attach one document. Following these steps will ensure that you receive the highest consideration.
Gannett Co., Inc. is a proud equal opportunity employer. We are a drug free, EEO employer committed to a diverse workforce. We will consider all qualified candidates regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, marital status, personal appearance, sexual orientation, gender identity, family responsibilities, disability, education, political affiliation, or veteran status.
