The Deming Headlight is looking for a reporter to join its award-winning team. This reporter will work in tandem with the editor to cover Deming, Luna County and southwest New Mexico. The ideal applicant can write for a digital audience, be proficient on social media, take photos and effectively cover myriad events and beats. This reporting job provides a lot of opportunity for growth and will best serve a candidate who doesn't like to be stuck at a desk.

The Deming Headlight, a USA TODAY NETWORK paper, is a twice-weekly print publication updated online daily. Deming is situated in a border county with a strong agricultural identity, is close to state parks and home to the annual Great American Duck Race.
