Producer / Editor, Entertainment Video

The USA TODAY Network seeks a Producer / Editor, Entertainment Video to join its premium video studio. The team is responsible for creating best-in-class, brand-defining digital video series for an array of audiences and platforms.

This role is responsible for producing USA TODAY Life's flagship video franchise each day. You'll work closely with the series host and USA TODAY Life's team of reporters and editors to deliver daily episodes.

We're looking for a producer with a passion for celebrity news and the entertainment industry. Experience in multimedia reporting and storytelling about the arts, movies, music, television, celebrity and pop culture is essential.

The ideal candidate is experienced in digital video production and is comfortable crafting video in a number of different formats. You're well-versed in the digital video ecosystem from desktop to mobile to social to streaming, a creative storyteller with a sharp attention to detail and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The role requires sharp editorial judgement, production, writing and communication skills.


• Develop, pitch, produce, and edit daily segments and occasional features for USA TODAY Life's flagship video franchise

• Work with the overall USA TODAY franchise studio team to maintain and grow our slate of productions

• Work closely with the USA TODAY Life team to develop video complementing Network entertainment coverage

• Manage publishing process and optimize content promotion for multiple platforms

• Regularly assess video performance using Adobe Analytics to make informed decisions to about format, approach and promotion of content.


• At least 5 years of professional experience in digital video and entertainment

• Demonstrated creativity for unique series-driven approaches to a variety of topics, platforms and audiences

• Understanding of all digital media platforms and social media

• Experience coordinating and planning news, entertainment, feature, and /or scripted content

• Skilled in Adobe Premiere and After-Effects

• Strong writing and editorial decision-making skills

• Understanding of digital video publishing, programming, and content-management systems
