Gannett Publishing Services, located in Abilene, TX, at the Abilene Reporter-News, is recruiting for a part-time Truck Driver. This position involves loading carts and pallets and delivering items to our Distribution Center in San Angelo, TX approximately 15 hours per week. Schedule can include varied days, hours and shifts from week to week including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

  • Transportation of products and loading and unloading at various drop points.
  • Delivery of products to Single Copy outlets, post offices and customers.
  • Organizing paperwork, verifying loads and drop counts and assisting with dock work.
  • Various essential task as needed.


Requirements:

Valid driver's license, satisfactory motor vehicle record, dependable automobile, and liability insurance required. Good verbal & written communication skills, and mechanical aptitude required. Good PC Skills including Microsoft office preferred.

Education:

GED/High school diploma, vocational training preferred.
