You will be responsible for covering investigative/watchdog stories, breaking news and in-depth features. We want someone with the ability to dig out stories and then aggressively chase them. You will be expected to constantly seek out topics and issues that resonate with our local audience. But the reporting could also extend to other areas, including business, housing and the University of Notre Dame, among others.

The ability to work closely with a team, as well as a strong social media presence, are musts. This is a chance to make your mark in local news coverage, build a strong portfolio and collaborate with Gannett's other Indiana news organizations, including the Indy Star.
