Newbury Park Warehouse Distribution Coordinator

The Ventura County Star, Ventura County's leading newspaper and web site, has a part time opening in our Newbury Park location for a Distribution Coordinator to advance the success of our newspaper, niche products, and web offerings. The Distribution Coordinator ensures that all paperwork and newspapers are distributed and completed in a timely and effective manner to ensure that distributors provide the best possible service to our subscribers by the delivery deadline. The Distribution Coordinator is professional with good people skills, dependable with a strong work ethic, and able to make decisions based on sound judgment. The candidate must be available to work a late night shift. Responsibilities: Compiles subscriber and nonsubscriber information Delivers complaints, as required. Performs special projects and other related tasks as required Aids in the distribution of newspaper to the Independent Contractors Delivers routes as needed Maintains a clean and secure warehouse and parking lot. Retrieves newspapers from print facility for shortages, as needed Verifies addresses with service issues when requested. Delivers donations to convalescent homes or other such organizations. Assists the District Managers with the day to day operations. Verifies single copy returns. Other related duties may be assigned. Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Six months-1 year of general work experience. Bi-Lingual a plus. Valid state driver's license, good driving record *Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. We offer a competitive compensation package.
