Maintenance Technician ll

This position is responsible for electrical and mechanical repairs to printing equipment as necessary to support production runs. Ensures the preventative maintenance of production equipment as necessary. Conducts research of equipment parts, drawings and manuals. Maintains accurate documentation of hours and work completed in log book. Keeps abreast of safety procedures and processes by regularly attending safety training meetings and adhering to safe work habits. Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and operators clearly and efficiently.
Must be proficient in mechanical and electrical trouble shooting.
Candidate must have 3-5 years of experience as a multi-trade mechanic in an industrial environment.
High School diploma, technical school training or equivalent.
Excellent mechanical aptitude, electrical aptitude along with the ability to document work on a PC-based system.
Newspaper production experience is a plus.
Ability to work any shift or schedule as needed.
