Redding Record Searchlight

Gannett Publishing Services, located in Redding, CA at the Redding Record Searchlight is recruiting for part-time Inserters. These are entry level positions performing post press related packaging tasks. Must be available to work a scheduled including nights, weekends and holidays.

The Inserter is responsible for loading product into the inserting machine; stacking down product from press or inserting machine to build skids that can be machine inserted or shipped out; and basic material handling functions. The job environment is deadline-oriented work in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

GED/High School Diploma. Good verbal communication skills required. Must adhere to all company policies and procedures and promote safe work practices. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and proven ability to be a self-starter a plus. Must be able to push and pull carts loaded with newspapers weighing up to 500 pounds with assistance and repetitively lift newspaper bundles weighing up to 35 pounds. Prior production or related experience preferred.
