Mailroom - Inserter

The Montgomery Advertiser, a Gannett company, is currently looking for candidates interested in a part-time (20-25 hours per week) opening for entry level work in our distribution center to help in the preparation of two daily newspapers. Mechanical abilities are preferred. Assembly or manufacturing experience is a plus.

We are looking for individuals who are available to work day and/or evening shifts (late nights, early mornings and weekends). Job duties will require regular lifting of various printed materials, occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs., and continuous reaching for printed materials during production runs.

Qualified applicants must have independent judgment, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn; must also be able to meet physical demands of the position (ie: standing for an entire shift). Reliable transportation required. Must be able to maintain regular availability for the shifts indicated above.

This position prefers a high school diploma or equivalent. Pre-employment drug screening and background check required.
