To keep pace with our growth we are seeking entrepreneurial minded, highly motivated, ambitious, and results oriented Account Managers to drive new customer acquisition.

ReachLocal's Account Managers play a key role in our Sales Organization. They work exclusively with our clients and are responsible for the management of client accounts once the Inside Sales Consultant has made the initial sale. From campaign set-up to management and review, the Account Manager owns the client relationship. The Account Manager is responsible for sales targets and retention objectives by identifying and closing cross sell and up-sell opportunities, facilitating review calls, and communicating new trends & opportunities in digital advertising to their existing account base.

Job Skills & Responsibilities:  

  • Effective and consistent client interaction/communication to ensure a best in class ReachLocal experience for their clients
  • Media expert and student of their space for a consultative approach
  • Ability to understand and explain technical concepts to current clients  
  • Identify technical issues; interface with service organizations within ReachLocal to resolve issues
  • Identify and close up-sell and cross sell opportunities as well as identify referral opportunities


  • Responsible for facilitating monthly reviews through strong account management and client communication
  • Ensure advertising campaigns correlate with advertiser's other forms of marketing to maximize client campaign ROI


Key Skills:

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint


  • Possess strong knowledge of products and trends in the digital advertising/media space
  • Ability to recognize, communicate, and close up-sell/cross selling opportunities to existing client base
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, such as Salesforce.com, and other database systems
  • Consultative approach to account management and client interaction


Qualifications:

  • 2‐5 years working experience in sales, marketing, or customer service
  • Sales‐minded DNA, with strength and comfort level in retaining and up‐selling current business  
  • Exceptional phone and verbal communications skills with the ability to build relationships at decision-making levels
  • Bachelor's degree in general business, Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Journalism, or English preferred
