USA TODAY is looking for a Justice/investigations editor to join its 30-member DC bureau and lead an award-winning team covering the Department of Justice and the military. He or she would also work across the room on investigative stories.
This senior editor would execute stories with impact - stories that resonate inside the beltway but especially in the homes of Americans. We're looking for someone with the proven ability to guide enterprise reporting while also seamlessly navigating daily and breaking news stories.
We're looking for someone with not only a top-notch storytelling and editing skills but also the organizational chops to keep projects on track while coaching reporters through often complicated and sensitive topics.
Political, national security and/or DC experience preferred, plus at least five years editing experience.
This editor will frequently collaborate with other editors and teams in the Washington bureau and across the USA TODAY Network's 109 properties, as well as with visuals, graphics, social and other teams.
