Education Reporter

The Palm Beach Post, part of the USA Today network, is currently seeking an education reporter with an investigative bent to join our team. This reporter will be responsible for breaking big stories and writing with impact on stories from curriculum to COVID in the 10 th largest school district in the country. The job also includes coverage of higher education at Palm Beach County's half-dozen major universities. We want an education reporter who can develop solid sources and pivot from breaking stories to longer-term, in-depth enterprise pieces to draw digital subscriptions, our primary goal. Candidates should be adept in social media, using it to find/work sources, engage with our audience and promote our coverage. This includes helping to administer our lively education Facebook group with more than 3,000 members, to maintaining our education newsletter, to having occasional Q&As with our audience on matters of high interest. Three years' work experience in journalism or equivalent experience required. Previous coverage of education, and database reporting preferred. Embracing digital story-telling a must.
