- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in journalism or related field
- One-year experience in a reporting position at a daily newspaper or a strong internship and clips
- Ability to occasionally take photos
- Willingness to occasionally work nights and a rare weekend
- Ability to write clear, easy to understand stories quickly and accurately
- This role requires a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and the minimum liability insurance required by state law
- Employment is contingent on passing a post-offer, pre-employment background check, motor vehicle record check and drug screen
