The Gannett Corporate Tax Department, located in Mclean, VA, serves the entire international organization. We are currently seeking a Tax Senior to assist the corporate tax department with the following responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares federal, state, and local tax returns for the company, including related schedules and reports

• Assist with p reparation of quarterly and annual tax provision, including tax-related financial statement disclosures

• Complete income tax information and data collection/summarization actions

• Complete other tax department projects, partnering with multiple department personnel

Requirements

• 2+ years of corporate tax and tax accounting experience

• BA/Accounting-related degree required, Master's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

• CPA preferred

• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office platform

• Strong understanding of tax software workflow

• Self-motivated, team player/collaborative

• Exceptional attention to detail

• Great interpersonal communication skills

• Strong problem solving and organizational skills
