Publisher Solutions Manager – Sydney

WANTED: An experienced and enthusiastic media guru to work closely with our Business Development and Media Solutions teams to provide first class support to Unruly publisher network. You will assess and scope integrations with new sources of video inventory across the Open Web, bringing them into the live domain via a thorough quality assurance programme, continuing technical support at partner level and internally once live. As Publisher Solutions, it will be your responsibility to undertake the requisite commercial vs effort diligence before embarking on any new integrations, working directly with the APAC Publisher Development Manager to sell in prospective partnerships internally. You will retain control of the production of all support documentation for each partner, and be responsible for undertaking regular reviews of the support required across the same partnerships, working with the business development team to ensure the integrity and quality of Unruly's publisher network is of exceptional standard, across all Unruly formats. You will be highly analytical, interested in new technology and confident in communicating on progress and technical issues across a range of internal stakeholders. Working Hours: Full time (9.00am to 5:30pm, Mon – Fri)

About the Role: Mission

Your mission will be to:

  • Maintain all existing partners performance & technical relationships, investigating UX and metrics anomalies and collaborating with Business Development, Product & Partners as necessary to resolve.
  • Technically integrate new sources of video inventory, bringing partners from Unruly's roadmap into the live domain and fully operable across campaigns
  • Scope technical integration efforts from assessment to release (vs commercial opportunity) in collaboration with Product Development team
  • Create the user stories required to support forthcoming integrations and act as key stakeholder to support them during business planning sessions
  • Build and maintain integration support documents for all of Unruly's key inventory partnerships

About You: Experience

You must have:

  • Unique understanding of digital display and video markets, and various pricing models
  • Clear demonstrable knowledge of digital and emerging platforms/commercial opportunities in the digital media landscape
  • Used multiple web technologies and be able to adapt to new technologies quickly
  • Experience of taking ownership of technical work, seeing the work through and communicating directly with a variety of internal and external customers to offer support and solve problems via a variety of mediums (e.g. phone, face to face, email)
  • Experience working in a customer facing technical role, investigating and resolving technical issues including solving new problems that have not previously been encountered
  • Demonstrated ability to explain technical terms to non-technical people
  • Experience of doing data analysis work, using spreadsheets, SQL or other tools.

About You: Skills

You must be:

  • Strong at testing and rolling out new functionality via a thorough QA process
  • Confident using HTML/CSS/Javascript and debugging technical issues in these areas
  • Able to understand HTTP protocol and the browser DOM, and to debug series of HTTP requests to discover the cause of problems
  • Able to positively deliver new features and products to Commercial and Media Solutions teams globally, ensuring that release process is simple and part of normal service
  • Hold key relationships with technology providers & platforms, publishers, networks
  • Able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Able to problem solve and think laterally to find different ways of solving technical and communication difficulties
  • Confident managing customers' expectations and pushing clients towards standardised solutions where possible and capable of saying "no" to internal or external customers requests where appropriate

About You: Education & Qualifications

  • Honours-level degree or equivalent preferred (University of Life also counts)

The Wow Factor:

  • You speak 2 or 3 languages fluently
  • Expert working knowledge of ad-serving, ad technologies and auction-based media platforms (SEM, AdX, DSP)
  • Have solid experience in technology support for ad-serving across multiple platforms, from Mobile through to Connected TVs
  • Have basic Linux/unix skills with tools like GNU grep, sort, etc,
  • Have experience building or testing sites or apps on various platforms including HTML5
  • Have experience of Flash development and debugging issues with Flash
  • Been involved in end-to-end project management release cycle, with experience of either waterfall or agile methodologies
  • Comfortable with presenting new and innovative digital technologies/features to the business to support internal knowledge base
