Performs a variety of medication recording and preparation tasks, as well as other duties in support of pharmacy operations. Must possess Pharmacy Technician Registration, as required by the Massachusetts Pharmacy Board of Registration.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Enter prescription data, prepare and label medications, and assist with compounding and prepackaging
  • Provide courteous customer service, process payments, and offer counseling; document allergies and alert pharmacist to issues
  • Manage inventory: receive and inspect supplies, rotate stock, and restock clinical areas and emergency carts
  • Handle refill authorizations for non-controlled substances; administer vaccines as needed
  • Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws, HIPAA, and organizational policies; report safety events
  • Collaborate with team members, support workflow, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED, HiSET, TASC)
  • Graduate of an approved pharmacy technician program or prior institutional/retail pharmacy experience
  • Active Registered Pharmacy Technician license in Massachusetts with no restrictions
  • Certification in Immunization Administration (ACPE-accredited) or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
  • Must not appear on the OIG Exclusion Database (LEIE)
  • American Heart Association BLS required; ACLS may be required based on specialty

Preferred Qualification:

  • 1+ years of experience in a service industry preferred; prior pharmacy and cash handling experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $27.69 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
