Location: 227 East Loudon Ave. Loudonville, OH
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00
Specialty: Family Medicine

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare examination rooms and sterilizing equipment
  • Room patients, obtain health history, check vital signs and perform EKG's
  • Perform phlebotomy, urinalysis and handle patient specimen samples
  • Administer medications and perform injections/immunizations
  • Document patient care using NextGen electronic medical record software
  • Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, process medication refills, handle referrals, answer calls and complete paperwork
  • Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with minor, in-office procedures
  • Cover check-in/out and answer phones as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Graduated from an accredited MA program or will graduate within the next 2 months
  • Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA) or willing to attain that certification within 180 days of the start date
  • CPR certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EMR / EHR experience
  • Experience with NextGen medical record software
  • Experience with medical front office and back-office duties including vitals, phlebotomy, injections, casting/splinting, administering medications, referrals, prior authorizations, and insurance verifications

Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description, may be substituted for the above requirements.
