Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist Manager with month end close process
  • Provide tracking, research, analysis, reporting, and variance commentary of PBM (Pharmacy Benefits Management) gross margin
  • Perform account reconciliations and analyses, prepare journal entries and review accounting classifications, in accordance with generally-accepted accounting principles
  • Analyze and prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and statements of financial position
  • Prepare documentation in support of external and internal audits. Assist in the audit process and work with outside auditors regarding accounting and reporting issues
  • Collaborate with finance team and other business owners such as Forecasting, Billing/AR, Client Management to gather, summarize and analyze data
  • Prepare ad hoc financial and business analyses
  • Develop innovative approaches for continued improvement in efficiency and effectiveness
  • Prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines
  • Train other Accounting staff

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
  • 4+ years of Accounting experience
  • Experience with generally accepted accounting principles and financial statements
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Hyperion Essbase, PeopleSoft Financials, Oracle, and Microsoft Access
  • Financial analysis experience
  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Audit experience
  • CPA / MBA
